ROANOKE (WSLS10) -For families of the missing, it's important to never let the case go cold. The cue center for missing persons was out Saturday in Roanoke, working with a mother to bring her son home.

Christopher Douthat of Franklin County has been missing for two years. He was 24-years-old at the time he disappeared. He was last seen leaving a Roanoke bar  alone on foot.

Saturday his mother and the center worked to raise awareness about his story. Mother Mary Douthat says she wants to keep his case alive so she can finally know where her son is.

"Tips need to come in if people have seen someone who looks like him you need to call even if it doesn't pan out that it is him," Douthat said. "Please call because I still need closure. I need my son home one way or the other."

If you have any information about his whereabouts contact the Vinton Police Department.
