3 teens arrested after 2 found dead in Wythe County

WYTHE COUNTY, Va. – Three suspects are under arrest in Wythe County after two people were found dead Tuesday.

On Thursday, Aidan Dawson was reported missing from the town of Wytheville. Tuesday, deputies received a tip about Dawson that led them to a home in the 1800 block of Reed Creek Drive on the eastern end of the county.

Once there, deputies found two male victims near an outhouse, one of whom was identified as Dawson. The other victim has been named as 24-year-old Raymond Lewis Rodriguez, who was from the Austinville community.

Wythe County Sheriff Keith Dunagan says the two were shot.

Wythe County Sheriff’s Office investigators arrested three suspects related to the two deaths.

Dunagan says, "The best we can determine at this time, they were all friends."

Dylan Alexander McGlothlin, 18, is charged with both murders and disposing of the victims' bodies. He's also charged with two counts of the use of a firearm in the commission of a murder.

Jared Stephens, 19, is charged as an accessory after the fact in both murders.

Hunter Armbrister, 18, is also charged with being an accessory after the fact in both murders. He is also charged with the attempted disposal of a dead body in both murders.

When asked about motive, Dunagan said it's possible that it's drug-related.

"They could have been out there as early as Thursday and the possibility of Friday. But they've been out there several days," Dunagan said.
