ROANOKE (WSLS 10 SPORTS) -
For the second year in a row Virginia Tech participated in the Battlefrog College Championships. The team of four Hokies competed against other schools in an intense obstacle course, that tests both physical and mental strength. The competition took place in March but wasn't aired until this weekend.

The course and its races are designed by Navy Seals and SeaBees and is located in Lake Lanier, Georgia. It consisted of 20 obstacles within a 350-meter track. A $10,000 grand prize was up for grabs. Last year Tech placed third in the competition.
"It was kind of like to going on a double blind date", said team member Elaine Lewis.
"Me and Nicole knew each other and Zach and Eric knew each other but the four us had never been together until the night before we were flying out. Kind of awkward at first but we became, honestly just the closest of friends during the five days of competing."
The Hokies defeated Georgia Tech in the semifinal round before falling to Army in the finals.
