The decision was made because of a positive COVID-19 test by a Virginia basketball staff member, subsequent quarantining and contact tracing within the Virginia program, according to the ACC.

Currently, the next time the two teams are scheduled to play each other is Jan. 30 at 6 p.m. in Blacksburg.

No new date for Saturday’s postponed game has been announced.
