Salem’s Lewis is Week 9 Player of Week

Peyton Lewis scored 5 times in win over Cave Spring

Roanoke, Va. – Salem’s football program runs on consistency and discipline, but it is not without top-tier talent. Running back Peyton Lewis is a Tennessee commit who doubles as a state sprint champion in track. Friday night he reminded us his game and his speed travels. The Spartans traveled to Bogle Stadium and dominated the Knights of Cave Spring. Lewis rushed for 194 yards on just 10 carries, finding the end zone 4 times and added a 65-yard punt return touchdown for 5 total scores. (And toss in a sack on defense for good measure). Lewis’s efforts were more than enough to help Salem to a 7th straight win and earn him the honor as the Week 9 WSLS 1st and 10 Player of the Week.
