1st and 10 Trophy Tour: North Cross’ Brock Miles

ROANOKE, Va. – Brock Miles was sharp in the state semifinals against Fredericksburg Christian, going 12 of 13 for 217 yards and four touchdowns—leading the Raiders to their third straight state final appearance. His leadership on and off the field made him a standout in 2024, finishing the season with over 2,000 passing yards and 25 total touchdowns.

During the 1st & 10 Trophy Tour presentation, Miles made it clear that his success was a team effort.

“Yes sir, absolutely, it’s just about my teammates and coaches,” Miles said. “We had a great week of practice, and we were determined to get back to the state championship for the third year in a row. We didn’t accomplish that, but that week was good. It was big. I know it says my name on the trophy, but it’s a team award.”

First-year head coach Dwayne Priest praised Miles’ preparation and experience.

“I knew coming in Brock would be prepared because I know his dad, and they sit at home, they watch film, they study the game,” Priest said. “So I knew coming into the season with confidence, having a quarterback that played in a state championship two years and played with these type of guys and the relationships they got. I already knew there was gonna be a lot of clicking going on.”

Miles will be heading to Bridgewater to play football in the fall.
