Two Liberty University football players leaving, citing leaderships racial insensitivity, incompetence
LYNCHBURG, Va. Two members of the Liberty University football team announced Monday they are not returning to the university. Land played in 11 games last season, logging 23 total tackles. Clark played in 13 games last season, logging 38 total tackles. Land graduated from Ocean Lakes High School in Virginia Beach, while Clark graduated from Manchester High School in Chesterfield County. Their decisions follow the move made by basketball player Asia Todd, who also just left the university for similar reasons.

LYNCHBURG, Va. A former Liberty University athlete talked with 10 News on Friday about her decision to leave the school. Asia Todd was a starter for the Liberty University womens basketball team, but on Wednesday, announced shes leaving, citing racial insensitivity within the schools leadership. Just having the courage to speak out and I pray this encourages people, said Todd. Earlier this week, Falwell apologized and deleted his tweet after a group of black alumni asked for an apology and threatened to pull financial support. We reached out to Liberty University for a statement on Todds transfer; however, per NCAA rules, Liberty officials said they cannot make specific comments about athletes.

LYNCHBURG, Va. One member of the Liberty Flames womens basketball team will not be returning to Lynchburg in the fall. Asia Todd, who just finished her freshman year, announced on Twitter, that she is entering the NCAA Transfer Portal and will not be returning to Liberty University. She said that her decision had nothing to do with basketball and that some things are bigger than basketball. During a 71-second video, Todd said that racial insensitivities shown within the leadership and culture do not align with her beliefs, therefore, shes leaving Liberty. This decision had nothing to do with basketball or the program, for this decision was simply bigger than basketball.
