Liberty picks up second straight win at Liberty Arena, defeats Bluefield College
LYNCHBURG, Va. โ Liberty remained undefeated at Liberty Arena, extending its home winning streak to 25 games after the 86-64 win over Bluefield College. Second HalfLiberty locked down defensively to start the second half, forcing Bluefield College to shoot 16 percent in the first five and a half minutes of the half. Bluefield struggled on offense in the second half, shooting just 30 percent (8-26) compared to shooting 54 percent in the first half. Liberty outscored Bluefield College 32-20 inside the paint. For the fourth time this season, Chris Parker had at least five assists in a game, posting six against Bluefield College.
Radford social gathering leads to 19 Bluefield College football players getting coronavirus
BLUEFIELD, Va. โ Social gatherings on college campuses are starting to cause coronavirus outbreaks. Bluefield College announced Wednesday that 19 cases of the coronavirus among members of its football team trace back to a social gathering last weekend in Radford. The college did not say how many players made the trip to Radford. Now, all members of the football team have to quarantine and are suspended from campus activities until Aug. 26. As of Wednesday, the number of positive cases increased to 19 students with all cases from football players.
