Virginia residents are flooding DMV offices as the federal REAL ID deadline approaches, with more than 100,000 credentials issued in March alone. Starting May 7, 2025, travelers nationwide must present a REAL ID-compliant driver’s license, passport, or other approved federal identification to board domestic flights or enter federal facilities.

Starting May 7, U.S. flyers will need a Real ID to board domestic flights. Without it, access to certain federal facilities and nuclear power plants will also be restricted.

Emmy-winning actress best known for her work in TV sitcoms like “Arrested Development” and “Archer” has passed away on Wednesday, Deadline reports. Jessica Walter passed away in her sleep at her home in New York City. The statement reads: “It is with a heavy heart that I confirm the passing of my beloved mom Jessica. A working actor for over six decades, her greatest pleasure was bringing joy to others through her storytelling both on-screen and off. We know that heaven just got a whole lot funnier with Jessica now in residence.”

The long-gestating film adaptation of the Broadway hit “Wicked” has hit another snag. Director Stephen Daldry is exiting the project, a studio representative confirmed Tuesday. The “Billy Elliot” director has been associated with the adaptation for years, going back as far as 2012. Writer Winnie Holzman, who wrote the musical, wrote the script with “Wicked” composer and lyricist Stephen Schwartz. At one point, the film was supposed to hit theaters in Dec. 2019.

Fans of “Dirty Dancing” are in for a treat. Lionsgate CEO Jon Feltheimer confirmed there will be a new “Dirty Dancing” movie starring Jennifer Grey, who played Baby in the 1987 original, Deadline reported. Grey is also executive producing the movie, according to Deadline. Officials haven’t said yet when the new “Dirty Dancing” movie will premiere. Parts of the original “Dirty Dancing” were filmed at Mountain Lake Lodge in Giles County.

The original "Hocus Pocus," released in 1993, stars Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy. There's reportedly a new "Hocus Pocus" movie coming. According to Deadline, the new film is in the works for forthcoming streaming service Disney+ with a script from television writer and producer Jen D'Angelo. No word yet if the original cast will be returning for the new movie or any plot details. Last month, a social media thread of some of the content that would be featured on the streaming service was the talk of Twitter.
