Shes using her wishes for shelter pets, looking for a forever home. She asked for donations of pet food and supplies for the Franklin County Animal Shelter in Rocky Mount. Animal Shelters like the one in Franklin County rely on donations. For a 6-year-old to take her birthday presents and turn that into donations for our animal shelter is just truly amazing, said adoption specialist Katie Bittienger. She said she loves animals and it made her birthday special to be able to help those in need.

In a time of anxiety and isolation, simple acts of kindness from hospital workers are giving comfort to patients and their families. And in another, doctors show smiling photos of themselves so COVID-19 patients can see the faces behind the masks. Many hospitals treating COVID-19 patients have adopted strict no-visitor policies and patients’ only human contact is with masked and gloved medical workers.

A Stockton, California, homeowner was attacked by a mob in her own driveway and it was caught all on tape. When her husband, Joe, tried to save her, the assailants turned on him too. "Next thing I know I am being dragged into my driveway and being jumped and that is when it began, Erin told Inside Edition, her body covered in bruises and eyes blackened. There's still blood on the driveway. "My first reaction was to try and shield my wife.
