LEXINGTON, Va. – With the new year comes a new strategic focus for the George C. Marshall Foundation, which means the nonprofit museum will close its doors for good. However, the foundation has made the decision to close permanently. The Lexington nonprofit was forced to make the decision to better serve other areas. Paul Levengood, the foundation president, says their plan is to expand the library collections by digitizing them. “It really takes you behind the scenes and tell you the stories behind them.”While the museum will close, Levengood says the research library remains open.
