Hitachi Energy is set to invest $457 million to expand its transformer production facility in South Boston, bringing 825 new jobs to the Commonwealth, Governor Glenn Youngkin announced on Thursday.

Hitachi Energy is investing $22.5 million to expand its current facility in Bland and to add a warehouse facility in Atkins, creating 120 new jobs as a result.

New beginnings in Wythe County where the Blue Ridge Bobcats have announced they are changing the name of their home arena to the Hitachi Energy Arena.

Governor Glenn Youngkin announced Wednesday that Hitachi Energy will invest $37 million in expanding its operation in Halifax County.
