Carr, Raiders overcome windy, wintry weather to down Browns

Using running back Josh Jacobs and a short passing game, Carr controlled the clock in the second half and kept the ball away from the Browns (5-3). Jacobs finished with a career-high 128 yards — 80 in the second half — on 31 carries. The Raiders appeared to take the lead earlier in the second quarter when Carr connected with Henry Ruggs III in the back right corner of the end zone from 11 yards. Las Vegas settled for Carlson's 29-yard field goal to tie it 3-3. INJURIESRaiders: Defensive tackle Maurice Hurst was carted off in the second quarter with an ankle injury and did not return.

Carr helps Raiders snap Chiefs' 13-game win streak, 40-32

The Latest: Cowboys edge Giants with field goal on last play

Prescott was playing the Giants in the first visit of his former coach, Jason Garrett, now New York’s offensive coordinator. A week after giving up a franchise-record 307 yards rushing, the Cowboys allowed Devonta Freeman 20 yards on three carries. The Giants extended the lead to 14-3 when Kyler Fackrell returned an interception by Dak Prescott 46 yards for a touchdown. Atlanta cornerback Kendall Sheffield suffered a right ankle injury in the second quarter and was listed as questionable to return. Smith is one injury to Allen away from completing his remarkable comeback to play in an NFL game again.
