Refaeli's lawyers said the plea bargain proved she hadn't intentionally evaded tax payments. Naturalists report other marine animals are also taking advantage of the tourism slump that is leaving coastal regions tranquil and undisturbed. Human intrusion and marine pollution have made dugong sightings in southern Thailand rare in recent years. Their fate captured attention last June after images circulated of Thai veterinarians cuddling an ailing baby dugong and hand-feeding her with milk and sea grass. An autopsy found a large amount of plastic waste in her intestines that had caused gastritis and blood infection.
DiCaprio, others launch $12M coronavirus relief food fund
LOS ANGELES – Leonardo DiCaprio will help launch America’s Food Fund, which has already raised $12 million to help communities impacted by the coronavirus. The food fund will work with hunger relief organizations World Central Kitchen and Feeding America. DiCaprio serves as a co-founder of America’s Food Fund with philanthropist Laurene Powell Jobs. “In the face of this crisis, organizations like World Central Kitchen and Feeding America have inspired us all with their unwavering commitment to feed the most vulnerable people in need," DiCaprio said in a statement. Organizers say donations to America's Food Fund are being accepted and will be used on efforts to get meals to those who need them.
