Former Trump casino where stars played goes out with a bang

The former Trump Plaza casino was imploded after falling into such disrepair that chunks of the building began peeling off and crashing to the ground. “I got chills,” Atlantic City Mayor Marty Small said. AdOpened in 1984, when Trump was a real estate developer in his pre-politics days, Trump Plaza was for a time the most successful casino in Atlantic City. AdBut things began to sour for Trump Plaza when Donald Trump opened the nearby Trump Taj Mahal in 1990, with crushing debt loads that led the company to pour most of its resources — and cash — into the shiny new hotel and casino. Trump Plaza was the last of four Atlantic City casinos to close in 2014, victims of an oversaturated casino market both in the New Jersey city and in the larger northeast.

Iowans’ view of Trump’s handling of the pandemic is also more negative than positive, according to The Des Moines Register’s Iowa Poll and Monmouth University polls. “ALL THE FAKE NEWS MEDIA WANTS TO TALK ABOUT IS COVID, COVID, COVID,” Trump tweeted Tuesday. !”During his debate with Biden last week, Trump insisted of the virus, despite the spike in cases: “It will go away.

Trump's Ohio suburb slide signals peril in industrial north

Trump's chances for a second term rest heavily on being able to maintain the margins he won by in 2016, particularly in suburban areas. They say that Trump, who won Ohio by 8 percentage points in 2016, maintains a yawning advantage in more rural areas and small towns. Still, Republicans are concerned that if he is losing badly in suburban areas in Ohio, it is a signal that Trump’s hold on other states in the industrial heartland that delivered him the presidency may be in peril. In the blue-collar suburbs of Youngstown, where Trump won by double digits, the same appears to be true. Former Ohio Republican Party Chairman Kevin DeWine, a second-cousin to Gov.

Prince played the blindingly blue guitar with the artist's love symbol on its neck beginning on the 1984 Purple Rain Tour, on the classic albums Lovesexy and Sign O' The Times. Protests in Trump country test his hold in rural white areas

Far from the industrial norths urban centers, hundreds of protests over black injustice have cropped up in small cities in rural areas. The protests in these Republican-leaning areas offer a test of the president's ability to reassemble his older, white voting bloc. No, you cant.Trump carried Pennsylvania by about 44,000 votes in 2016, in part with overwhelming support from a patchwork of rural, white counties. Dozens of protests have taken place in counties in these four battleground states that Trump flipped from Democrat to Republican. If Biden carries every state Clinton did in 2016 and reclaims Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, he would win a majority of the Electoral College votes.

7 concert films you should watch if you’re really missing live music

Some experts believe it could be more than a year until live concerts return to our daily lives, which is heartbreaking for people who love seeing live music. So until then, the next best thing to do is watch a concert movie from one of your favorite artists. Look no further than Beyoncé's “Homecoming,” her live concert that was filmed in 2018 when she headlined Coachella, the Southern California music festival. From the costumes, dancing and marching band music arrangements, Beyoncé transformed Coachella into “Beychella,” and we’re lucky enough that the entire show is documented. Not only is Timberlake’s music incredible catchy, but the production value that went into this show, especially the choreography, makes it worth visiting.

(CNN) - After a long legal battle, a letter Tupac Shakur wrote to Madonna will now be auctioned. The letter is part of a block of personal items from Madonna being auctioned by Gotta Have Rock and Roll. In 2017, bidding on the letter had reached $100,000, but Madonna had filed an emergency court order over the auction and won a temporary block on the sale. She told a New York City court her stardom "does not obviate my right to maintain my privacy, including with regard to highly personal items." The Manhattan Supreme Court later ruled the items were now property of the auction company, which opened the path for their sale.
