Nelson County Public Schools will be closed for all students on Friday, Aug. 27 due to a fight that broke out between two students and an increase in COVID-19 activity at the school.
NELSON COUNTY, Va. - A local student brought a gun to school on Friday, but authorities say there was no threat made to other students or staff. Nelson County High School administrators and the school resource officer recovered the gun, and the student was "remanded to law enforcement," according to the Nelson County Sheriff's Office.
