A new smartphone app connected to Danville’s emergency response system aims to help cardiac arrest victims receive lifesaving CPR faster by alerting nearby volunteers.

The Danville Fire Department announced Tuesday the launch of PulsePoint Respond in the City of Danville in partnership with the Danville Emergency Communications Center.
