Fire displaces 65 residents, including 38 Virginia Tech students, at Foxridge apartments

A historic warehouse in Martinsville’s downtown district will be transformed into a mixed-use development featuring restaurants and apartments, backed by a $1 million grant from the Virginia Tobacco Region Revitalization Commission (TRRC).

The largest apartment complex is coming to Roanoke Valley east of I-81 on the 460-Orange Corridor.

The heart of the Star City is continuing to grow.

The Botetourt County Board of Supervisors were set to vote this week on a 300-unit apartment project that could be coming to Daleville.

Roanoke City Council unanimously approved the new complex which will be built off of Orange Avenue.

The complex will bring more than 300 upscale apartments and will cost $50 million.

After receiving more than 700 applications, the lofts are fully rented, with a good mix of young professionals and people who are retired.

The new building will have 58 units of one, two, and some three-bedroom apartments. It will also include a fitness facility and yoga studio.
