The Pittsylvania County Sheriff’s Office announced Thursday that it had identified the remains of an individual who was previously reported as last seen walking in the area of Climax Road in 2023.

The Bedford Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a missing 69-year-old man.

The Roanoke County Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a missing 53-year-old Catawba man.

The human remains found last month have been identified as those of Dustin Butler, who has been missing since 2022, according to the Rockbridge County Sheriff’s Office.
