ROANOKE (WSLS 10) - It was a year ago on Friday that two local journalists, Alison Parker and Adam Ward were shot and killed on live television.
It has been a difficult year for their families, their communities and of course, for their colleagues at WDBJ7.
Many of us here at WSLS 10 also knew them and so, to a certain degree, we have joined in that pain and suffering.
We would like to acknowledge the sorrow this senseless killing has caused for all who knew these two young people whose lives and careers showed such promise.
Although it's already been a year, it seems as if it were just yesterday that we learned and reported to you this devastating news.
The shock and disbelief are still fresh in our minds and we want the world to know that Alison and Adam are not forgotten.
