DANVILLE, Va. – Workers continued Tuesday evening to clean up in Danville after Monday's severe thunderstorm.
Hundreds were without power after the storm.
As of 4 p.m. Tuesday, about 25 Danville Utilities customers were without power as the company worked on some power lines.
Classes at Averett University were delayed Tuesday morning and Forest Hills Elementary was closed because of the power outages.
Roads were also closed as the city worked to clean up downed trees.
