Danville police make arrests in drug, gun busts

Five people have been arrested and others are expected to be charged soon.

Danville police executed three search warrants, leading to five arrests and the seizure of drugs and guns. 

Police searched the 100 block of Harris Place on Monday. They seized a semi-automatic assault rifle, 170 rounds of ammunition, 32 grams of crack cocaine and 14 grams of marijuana, as well as drug paraphernalia. Charges are expected on multiple suspects. 

Saturday, police went to Ashlawn Drive and seized synthetic narcotics, marijuana, a semi-automatic handgun and drug packaging materials. This investigation is pending lab analysis. 

On Friday, Danville police executed a search warrant in the 100 block of Haley Street and the 1100 block of Washington Street. Police seized more than 32 grams of crack cocaine, synthetic narcotics, approximately 9 grams of marijuana, two handguns (one of which was reported as stolen), distribution paraphernalia, and over $4,300. 

Christopher Todd Davis, 30, is charged with possessing ammunition as a felon. 

Erica Kameron Carter, 22, is charged with possession with the intent to distribute. 

Traekata Malik Hairston, 20, is charged with the possession of a firearm by a felon. 

Tedrick Terry Fail has a misdemeanor charge of failing to appear. 

Ryan Wimbush is charged with obstruction of justice, which is a misdemeanor.
