CDC: U.S. gun deaths rise for second straight year

According to the report about two thirds of gun deaths are suicides.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention released a report showing the United States rate for gun deaths has gone up for the second straight year.
     
According to the report about two thirds of gun deaths are suicides.
     
Those types of gun deaths have been increasing for about 10 years.
     
Overall the firearm death rate rose to 12 deaths per 100-thousand people last year.This comes during debates about whether the government should enforce stricter gun rules.
     
The rate for the first three months of this year is about the same at it was last year at that point.
