Officials investigate cause of TriTech Solutions fire in Appomattox

APPOMATTOX, Va. – UPDATE

No one was hurt in a fire that fully engulfed a building in Appomattox early Friday morning.

The Appomattox and Concord Volunteer Fire Departments were dispatched at 4:08 am. for a fire at TriTech Solutions of Virginia, which is on Richmond Highway. 

The front office part of the building was fully engulfed when crews arrived. It is a total loss. Firefighters made an interior attack and knocked down the front portion of the building to prevent it from spreading into the back where the fabrication and metal working materials and tools were.  

Officials are investigating what may have caused the fire. There is no damage estimate yet. Virginia State Police is a part of the investigation. 

TriTech Solutions of Virginia is a metal fabricating company that was renting the property from the Lawson Family Property.

Crews are responding to a fire at TriTech Solutions of Virginia in Appomattox Friday morning. 

It started around 4 a.m. at the building on Richmond Highway. 

TriTech bills itself as a full-service metal and fabrication company.
