RADFORD, Va. – Radford police are searching for the suspect or suspects responsible for the bullet holes left in a car early Friday morning.
According to police, officers received a call for shots fired in the 100 block of Copper Beach Drive within the Copper Beech Townhomes complex around 1:11 a.m.
When officers arrived, they say they found a car and a townhouse had been hit by bullets.
Authorities say no one was injured during the incident.
Robert Tinley lives across the street from the townhomes. He says he has seen and heard of a few minor incidents at the complex over the years, but never anything as serious as a shooting.
"When I was growing up, if we had a dispute with somebody, we'd go out back and fight it out," Tinley said. "We didn't pull any knives or guns or anything."
Tinley hopes Radford Police patrol the neighborhood more in order to prevent another shooting from happening.
"I'd like to see them just do a little bit more to make sure that everything's alright," Tinley said. "God must've been watching out for them. If you go by shooting at somebody, somebody's going to get hurt."
Anyone with information is asked to call the Radford Police Department.
