Lanes close due to accident on I-81 in Montgomery County

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Va. – A tractor-trailer accident near mile marker 124 on I-81 north in Montgomery County causes major backups Sunday evening.

According to VDOT, the right lane is back open. The left is currently closed. Backups are about 6 miles.

Traffic is being detoured off at exit 118C and onto U.S. 460 to relieve congestion.
