Power outages decreasing as severe storms move through Southwest Virginia

More than 1,000 ApCo Virginia customers without power

ROANOKE, Va. – Appalachian Power is reporting that thousands of customers are without power. Earlier today that number exceeded 3,800.

As of 1:13 p.m., Buchanan County has the most outages with 439.

Following Buchanan, is Roanoke City, Henry County and Dickenson County with 189, 142 and 87 outages, respectively.
