Vehicle fire caused delays on I-81 North in Rockbridge County

Drivers can expect delays headed through Rockbridge County on I-81 North on Monday evening.

A vehicle fire is causing traffic near mile marker 192.3.

As of 6:21 p.m., all northbound lanes were closed, and traffic was backed up about six miles, according to VDOT.

Traffic is being detoured onto westbound I-64, onto US-11, and back onto northbound I-81.
