CAMPBELL COUNTY, Va. – A 27-year-old Lynchburg man is dead after a two-vehicle crash involving a tractor-trailer on US-29 in Campbell County, according to Virginia State Police.
A 2014 Volkswagen Golf was going south on Route 29 went into a median cut-through near Granny’s Lane and then into the northbound lanes where it was struck by an oncoming 1999 Kenworth tractor-trailer and police said that the tractor-trailer couldn’t avoid hitting the Volkswagen.

The driver of the Volkswagen, Connor McKinney, 27, died at the scene.
The driver of the tractor-trailer was uninjured.
Both drivers were wearing a seat belt.
Virginia State Police is assisting in the ongoing investigation into the crash.
