HENRY COUNTY, Va. – A 42-year-old woman is dead after a motorcycle crash in Henry County, according to Virginia State Police.
Authorities said the accident happened around 7:10 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of Route 1112 and Route 667.

The driver, a 36-year-old man from Max Meadows, was riding a 2006 Harley Davidson west when he ran off the right side of the road and hit a guidewire for a utility pole, causing him and his passenger to be thrown from the motorcycle, police said.
Police said the passenger, 42-year-old Melinda Kingsley of Richmond, was wearing a helmet and died at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
