BOTETOURT COUNTY, Va. – Charges are pending following a crash on Route 460 in Botetourt County that left one man dead, according to Virginia State Police.
The crash happened on June 18 at about 10:29 p.m. near Blue Ridge Springs Road.

A wrong-way driver, who has been identified as 27-year-old Mauricio Noe Benitez-Mejia, of Nashville, Tennessee, had been going east on Route 460 when he hit a Chevrolet Malibu head-on, State Police report.
Authorities say the driver of the Chevrolet, Keley Michael Davis, 30, of Blacksburg, died at the scene.
We’re told Benitez-Mejia and a passenger, 47-year-old Marcos Gutierrez-Rodriguez, were transported to Roanoke Memorial Hospital for injuries.
