Former president Donald Trump has announced that he will be running in the 2024 presidential election.
Trump made the announcement about 20 minutes into his speech Tuesday night.
“America’s comeback starts right now,” Trump said. “In order to make America great and glorious again, I am tonight announcing my candidacy for president of the United States.”
If Trump wins in 2024, he would be the only second president after Grover Cleveland in 1892 to reclaim the job by beating out the man who beat him, NBC reported.
“We make America great again,” Trump said as he closed his speech.
