Power restored to more than 2,400 AEP in Lynchburg

If you woke up without electricity Tuesday morning, you’re not alone.

More than 2,400 AEP customers don’t have power in the Hill City, according to an outages map posted by Appalachian Power.

Authorities say the outages are concentrated in the downtown Lynchburg/5th Street area of the city.

AEP expects power to be restored by 1:30 p.m.

Drivers are advised to treat all stop lights without power as a 4-way stop.
