Roanoke County townhouse fire leaves $2,000 in damages
No injuries were reported, officials say

ROANOKE COUNTY, Va. – A fire at a townhouse in Roanoke County Saturday left behind $2,000 in damages.
According to the Roanoke County Fire & Rescue Department, at 1 p.m., crews responded to the 4500 block of Andover Court for the report of a commercial structure fire in a townhouse.

According to firefighters, the fire was extinguished in about 10 minutes. One person and a dog were home at the time of the fire but fortunately, neither were hurt.
The Roanoke County Fire Marshal’s Office said the fire was accidental, and caused by a heater.
The resident will not be displaced, the department said.
