ROANOKE, Va. – A man was stabbed Monday evening in the 1500 block of Ninth Street SE during an argument, according to Roanoke Police. The man was taken to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital for treatment. Officers later arrested Vernon H. Stover, Jr., 54 of Roanoke, in the 700 block of Morrill Street and charged him with malicious wounding after they were called there regarding a physical assault.
According to police, this appears to be an isolated incident. An investigation is ongoing.
