FOREST, Va – Community members are coming together after an explosion at a church in Bedford County.
The explosion happened a little before 10 P.M. at Forest Level Baptist Church in Forest. Thankfully, nobody was in or around the church at the time.
Forest Level Baptist has been around for over 150 years and the congregation is already planning their next steps.
“So we’ve had a wonderful outpouring this morning,” said Marcin Wilson, pastor of Forest Level Baptist Church. “All our sister churches have been calling and offering their spaces, so we’re excited about going forward we believe we’ll be okay, we’re gonna have to get together and of course organize but we feel confident about our way forward.”
The cause of the explosion is still unknown at this time and the investigation is ongoing. Church members do not believe the incident was intentional.
