ROANOKE, Va. – Roanoke will begin the new year with a new mayor!
Mayor-elect Joe Cobb officially takes office after a close win in the November election that had to go to a recount.
Cobb says he’s proud of his work so far and is committed to making the city a better place.
“We’re going to stay focused on addressing some of our serious challenges… whether it’s continuing the good work we’ve been doing when it comes addressing gun violence, the opioid epidemic, making sure that we’re continuing our focus and a range of them.”
