ROANOKE, Va. – Restaurant Week is not only a treat for food lovers but also a vital boost for local restaurants. After the holiday season, when people often tighten their wallets and stay indoors due to the cold weather, this event provides much-needed support.
Keriann Campbell, general manager of Our Daily Bread, shared her thoughts on the importance of this week. “We just got done with the holidays, which went by in the blink of an eye, and they were all hustle and bustle from the beginning of Thanksgiving to the end of Christmas. But then January hits, and where did all the people go? So, Restaurant Week is huge for us because it reminds our employees, like, hey, they are coming back, just wait, it’s just a little cold.”
Our Daily Bread is one of over 30 restaurants participating in Restaurant Week, with most offering similar deals. Campbell explained, “The deal you get, so for dinner, $30 all included, you get an entree, your appetizer, and a dessert, so that’s really nice. And then our lunch opportunity gives you a chance to try all of our delicious sandwiches or one of our stews, and then we’ve paired it with a soup, which has been a big request from a lot of our customers.”
This week presents a unique opportunity for people to explore new culinary experiences without breaking the bank. “We get to meet a lot of new customers who want to try us for the first time, and then we have our loyal customers who come in and say, you know what, I’m gonna use this opportunity to try something new because I normally get the same thing every time,” Campbell added.
Restaurant Week also shines a light on Our Daily Bread’s lunch and dinner offerings. “Everyone knows us for breakfast. They forget that we have a delicious lunch and dinner, and Restaurant Week has been a big reminder for that,” Campbell said.
Whether you’re craving something sweet, savory, or both, Restaurant Week is the perfect excuse to indulge. But don’t wait too long—it all wraps up on Sunday, Jan. 26.
