ROANOKE COUNTY, Va. – Two public schools in the Roanoke County district, William Byrd Middle School and William Byrd High School, will be closed on Tuesday due to a power outage, according to school officials.
This closure comes as thousands across the Commonwealth are without power due to severe weather, with nearly 400 AEP customers experiencing outages in Roanoke County on Tuesday morning.
