BEDFORD, Va. – The Smith Mountain Lake Marine Fire and Rescue team responded to a boating incident that injured one Sunday, according to officials.
The department said the incident occurred in the Paradise Lane area of Union Hall, a center console boat had hit a dock, with one jet ski taking on water.

One person was injured and was transported to the hospital and the incident is currently under investigation by the Department of Wildlife Resources.
