Two Nelson County Parents have been charged after an investigation into the death of an infant in December of 2024, according to the Nelson County Sheriff’s Office.

A 65-year-old man was killed in a crash on Afton Mountain Road eastbound in Nelson County Sunday evening, according to Virginia State Police.

Crews with Wintergreen Fire & Rescue said they spent most of their day Wednesday working to put out wildfires in the area.

The National Weather Service issued a tornado warning for parts of the city of Waynesboro, Nelson, Albemarle, Augusta, Rockingham counties.
