The Southwest Virginia Wildlife Center kicked off its GIVE Roanoke celebrations with the release of a healthy American Beaver back into the wild, the center announced.

Downtown Roanoke, Inc. (DRI) is rallying community support during GIVE Roanoke, the region’s largest day of giving, to raise funds for its Ambassador and Beautification programs.

GIVE Roanoke is a day for the community to donate to local non-profits.

Local organizations are celebrating after raising more than $307,000 in just 24 hours.
