The Virginia ABC recently awarded over $60,000 in Virginia Alcoholic Beverage Control Authority (ABC) Alcohol Education and Prevention grants to various organizations.

Instead of closing at 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday, Virginia ABC said that they will now close at 9 p.m.

In a 55-42 vote, the House passed House Bill 2312, which eliminates criminal penalties for marijuana possession for anyone 21 or older. In a 23-15 vote, the Senate of Virginia passed Senate Bill 1406 on Friday evening. The Virginia Alcoholic Beverage Control Authority will be canceling Black Friday, Cyber Monday, Door Busters and Spirited Thursdays promotions, according to a statement tweeted out by VABC on Tuesday. “In a ‘normal year,’ Virginia ABC would be gearing up for fall and holiday promotions right now. A combination of factors has led us to the decision to move away from most of our usual promotions through the end of 2020,” said Virginia ABC CEO Travis Hill in a statement.
