Crash causes 1.5-mile backup on US-220 North in Roanoke

ROANOKE, Va. – A crash is causing a 1.5-mile backup on US-220N in Roanoke as drivers head out the door for their morning commute. 

Authorities say the accident happened between the Franklin Road and Elm Avenue exits.
