ROANOKE, Va. – SpaceX launched a rocket with four people on board to the International Space Station Friday morning.
Shortly after 5:49 a.m., as Your Local Weather Authority tweeted about Thursday (see below), many in southwest and central Virginia could see the vapor trail left behind by the launch.

Part of what allowed us to see this was the fact that the sun was below the horizon in the eastern sky. That helped illuminate the trail.
