After several days of brutally cold temperatures, we will finally be having a little bit of a return to normalcy within the next seven days.
On Thursday, we will start out cold, but temperatures over the next 24 hours will slowly rise and will max out within the mid-upper 30s throughout most of the region, with a few localities seeing temperatures possibly hit the 40° mark. We’ll have a few clouds here and there but nothing all that widespread.
On Friday, temperatures will still remain cold as one last shot of cold air comes into the area. It’ll be very similar on Thursday, maxing out in the mid-upper 30s. After this, we begin to see our extended warm-up period that will last until next week.
The weekend looks mostly nice partly cloudy skies with temperatures in the 40s throughout the region. Parts of Southside could approach the 50° mark as well.
We could see the chance for a pop-up shower on Monday, but any rain we do get would be limited. As we get into the middle of next week, expect temperatures to rise into the upper 40s and even the 50s throughout the region.
