BEDFORD (WSLS) - Virginia State Police are investigating a fatal crash that killed a Danville resident this morning around 11:30 a.m. on Route 608 in Bedford County.
The preliminary investigation shows that a 2005 Toyota Camry that was operated by Sharon Clark Rowsey, 58, of Danville, was driving eastbound on Rout 608 when her vehicle ran off the right side of the road and struck a tree.

Rowsey was not wearing a seat belt and died at the scene.
It's not known if alcohol was a factor in the crash.
