Suspect arrested in deadly Danville shooting
DANVILLE (WSLS 10) - Danville police said they arrested a man who allegedly shot and killed a man Friday morning.
Officers responded to the 1400 block of Myrtle Ave. for a report of a man who had been shot. That's where they found Lyndon Lee Johnson, 49, with what appeared to be a gunshot wound.
Johnson was taken to Danville Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
Police say they quickly identified a suspect and charges were brought against Travis Deshae Tarpley, 28, of Danville.
Tarpley was arrested in Greensboro, NC Friday afternoon. He is currently charged with possess firearm by a convicted felon and discharging a firearm in an occupied dwelling.
