Man arrested after Pulaski pawn shop gun robbery

26-year-old faces multiple charges

PULASKI, Va. – Police have arrested a man they say stole multiple firearms from a pawn shop Sunday.

Bradley Duane Hughes, 26, of Pulaski, has been charged with breaking and entering, grand larceny of firearms, property damage, and wearing a mask to conceal identity was arrested Monday.

At approximately 6:32 a.m., the Pulaski Police Department responded to Pulaski Pawn and Coin on West Main Street, in reference to an alarm.

When they arrived, officers saw the pawn shop had a broken window to the business and due to the size of the building, officers requested assistance in clearing it for suspects.

Members of the Pulaski Police Department SWAT, Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office, Radford City Police Department, Virginia State Police, and Roanoke City Police Department, all responded per mutual aid requests.

It was determined -- after a thorough search of the building -- that the suspect, later identified by authorities as Hughes, had previously left the scene.
