Man charged with second-degree murder after fatal stabbing in Blacksburg

Police say a man was stabbed, killed on Roman Drive Saturday afternoon

BLACKSBURG, Va.UPDATE

A man has been charged with second-degree murder after a man was stabbed and killed in the Blacksburg area of Montgomery County on Saturday, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.

At 3 p.m., officers were called to Roman Drive and arrived to find a man who had been stabbed. Blacksburg Rescue attempted to resuscitate the man, who authorities have identified as Robert Custer; however, he died of his wounds.

Deputies were able to find a suspect at the scene, who they’ve identified as Adam Nunnally.

Nunnally was taken to the Montgomery County Jail and is being held without bond.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a person was found dead in the area.

Officials say the body was found in the vicinity of Yellow Sulphur Road.

Investigators are currently at the scene working to gather more details.
